QR Code VEVENT Reader Information
Expect this update in early 2012. When a member books an appointment a corresponding QR code will be generated at the end of the booking process. The QR code will contain the appointment information and allow it to be scanned, from a computer monitor, directly into a Blackberry, Android or iPhone.
This is especially useful for clients. When clients book online they will be able to scan that appointment information and quickly add it to the calendar of their mobile device. Note that clients will still receive an email reminder and the appointment will still be recorded in their private appointment centers.

All QR readers are not created equal. As of 2011 we know of only two QR reader apps for the iPhone that can properly interpret QR encoded data as calendar events.
To iPhone developers. For unreported reasons Apple does not allow public access to their Calendar API. If you have developed an iPhone calendar app that supports the direct transfer of QR EVENT data to your calendar app then we would like to feature it here at this site. Please contact MyNA with your details.
To iPhone developers. If your iPhone QR reader can properly process the VEVENT data type displayed below then you are welcome to contact MyNA for inclusion in this list.

MyNA will generate two types of QR codes. One will be created for owners and managers. If the owner opts for online client booking then a separate code will be generated for client use.
None of these codes will contain any personal information other than client name. This will prevent data theft and the sharing of personal information of clients outside of this system.
To prevent unauthorized access the QR code images will be stored on the server with random file names and they will be automatically removed when the appointment date has passed.
